Architect | Orange County

You:

We are looking for an experienced, outgoing Architect to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing, coordination, producing CDs, and performing CA. You will be involved in new building designs and renovation and TI projects. Our goal is to meet the Clients’ needs and to produce sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Completely responsible for the management, coordination, production, and detailing of construction documents
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure coordinated, high quality construction documents, and review drawings for quality control
  • Conduct construction administration activities including site visits, RFI responses, submittal, and punch list reviews
  • Control projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative, and functional design
  • Ensure that all projects are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
  • Attend Client meetings and coordinate with outside Consultants
  • Inspire, develop, and mentor architectural design staff

Skills & Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in AutoCAD, experience with Revit preferred
  • Professional knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations & standards
  • Strong comprehension and familiarity of, and ability to assess and navigate building codes
  • Must have professional experience with Type V projects, both single-family and multi-family
  • Residential and commercial experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of technical design and documentation
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to take on and maintain multiple simultaneous projects, in various phases
  • Strong imagination and show the ability to create in three dimensions
  • Positive, outgoing, and energetic team member who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp)
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Must be a licensed Architect in California, other jurisdictions a plus

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience
  • Professional degree in Architecture

You:

We are seeking a full time, Project Designer (1+ years’ experience) in the field of Landscape Architecture for our Oakland, San Diego, and Orange County offices.

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a Landscape Architectural office with an eagerness to learn; we care about our employee’s growth and are willing to teach
  • Experience working on projects from concept design through construction documents
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or related field of study
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to work within a team environment; we are a growing office with an open and collaborative environment

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Strong proficiency required in SketchUp or Revit, and AutoCAD (all three a plus & preferred)
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and effective communication skills to work with team and clients, consultants, etc.
  • Perform fundamental architectural tasks
  • Have the ability to work independently on smaller projects
  • Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude. We offer employees a wide variety of opportunity and responsibility; we’re looking for candidates who can take a project or task without the need for micromanagement
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience

A Plus (but not required):

  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite software is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is beneficial
