About This Project
Phase 1 is the first development area within the larger Placer One master-planned community in South Placer County. The community is planned around a future University campus, a central town center, and a series of village-style neighborhoods. The vision emphasizes sustainability, walkability, and opportunities for life-long learning.
Urban Arena has been involved since the early stages of the project. We worked closely with Taylor Builders and a multidisciplinary team to guide the development and ensure it follows the Placer Ranch Specific Plan and County guidelines.
Our scope included the design and technical documentation for landscape, irrigation, signage, site walls, and monumentation. This work covers approximately 6 miles (+/–) of backbone streetscapes and 28 acres of stormwater basins. It also includes the connected system of parkways, medians, paseos, public trails, community parks, and village spaces.
The master plan also features a series of village pocket parks that support everyday life in the neighborhoods. Each park has its own character and program, offering places for outdoor play, gathering, and casual interaction. Some parks have naturalistic play elements, while others introduce themed environments that encourage creativity and learning. Together, these parks form a network of welcoming open spaces that adds long-term value for residents and helps strengthen the overall community identity.
