Tenney North Park brings a playful layer of outdoor living to one of San Diego’s most recognizable neighborhoods.
Urban Arena’s landscape architecture team shaped the fourth-floor amenity deck around a simple but memorable design language of circles, reflection, and layering. The result is a compact outdoor environment that feels social, inviting, and closely connected to the energy of North Park.
The amenity deck includes a dipping pool, soaking spa, lounge areas, fire features, outdoor dining spaces, and planted edges that soften the architecture while framing views toward the Lafayette Hotel, Hillcrest, and Balboa Park.
Mirrored accents, circular forms, wood overhead structures, and integrated seating help create a distinct identity without overcomplicating the space. The landscape takes full advantage of a compact footprint, transforming the amenity deck into a layered outdoor environment that balances everyday function, recreation, and social gathering while establishing a distinct identity within the community.
