Urban Arena’s landscape design at AMLI Aero connects residents to the outdoors through a balance of form, comfort, and community. The project includes 434 for-rent residential units and about 10,400 square feet of amenity space on a 3.8 (+/–) acre site in San Diego, California.
A sunset deck and rooftop pool deck sit at the top of the community. Cabanas, lounge areas, and wide 360° views create a relaxing social environment with a strong connection to the city skyline.
At the ground level, a putting green and outdoor kitchen sit among landscaped courtyards, seating areas, and fire pits. These spaces support casual gatherings and everyday downtime. Planting, materials, and furnishings reflect the ease of San Diego living — simple, refined, and naturally comfortable.
Our work covered the streetscapes, building frontage, courtyards, and rooftop amenities. The scope also included pedestrian paving, walls, fences, and detailing for trellises and pools. We coordinated closely with the client team to maintain a cohesive and buildable design.
The result is a connected outdoor environment that supports daily life and strengthens the identity of AMLI Aero.
