The former Pittsburg Power Plant site is transforming into Baywalk, a master-planned community by Integral Communities. Located along the Contra Costa County coastline, the development will include nearly 2,000 homes, a hotel, and generous public open space.
The community will span 195 acres of a 1,047-acre bayside property. Urban Arena is developing a conceptual land use plan that identifies wetlands, usable areas, roadways, Bayfront Park, and acreages. We are also preparing a schematic site plan and a conceptual landscape package to define the project’s overall theme and design character.
Baywalk will offer 50 acres of landscaped open space and 18.8 acres for Employment Center Industrial use. The remaining 519 acres will be preserved wetlands, striking a balance between urban development and environmental conservation.
